"Keep away from people who try to belittle your ambitions. Small people always do that, but the really great make you feel that you too, can become great." --Mark Twain
FAQ'S
Q.
What am I paying for?
A.
You get the initial consultation free, you pay for the professional design of the programme, the training time, the knowledge, the motivation, weight and nutrition advice, food diary and analysis, help and of course the fun.
Q.
What if i don't get results?
A.
You will get results if you stick to the programme and don't cheat yourself, (you can't cheat while I am watching anyway!)
Q.
How do I know what body type I am?
A.
I will tell you, you will be a mixture of two of the three body types usually.
Q.
Why shouldn't I just join a gym?
A.
The gym is fantastic and I would never discourage anyone from joining a gym. However, if you want to be treated to an individual workout with no distractions and all the attention focused on you and your specific goals, then personal training is for you. If you are intimidated by the gym environment, then I will bring the gym to you, in your home, garden or wherever you want to train. Some gym staff are not obliged or qualified to give you all of the answers, unless you pay for a personal training session...
Q.
Why do you charge so much?
A.
Personal training prices can range between £20 - £50 per hour, I charge at the bottom end (£25)
Q.
I know what I am doing, I read all about it on the internet. I can just train myself cant I?
A.
The internet is an amazing place to gain knowledge but it is also an enormous market for everything and anything. You will be told you can look like Kate Moss or The Terminator in six weeks. Try that programme and watch your money disappear fast. You get the truth and the latest sport specific techniques from a good personal trainer. There are different energy systems that need to be trained specifically depending on your goals. Remember, personal training is designed around you and only you, not half a million prospective customers.
Q.
Why should I choose real personal trainer then?
A.
This business is built on experience. I know what it is like to be overweight, I smoked for 18 years and got terribly unfit and fat. I trained myself to lose four stone and I gave up smoking. I had to completely change my lifestyle just to keep the weight off. I am not a naturally fit person and I am certainly not an athlete. I enjoy training and challenging myself to new goals. I can kick a football round the park with the kids and I don't stop for a cigarette any more. I cycle thirty miles for fun where as five years ago I would have laughed at the suggestion. I am living my life now, not just existing. I can help you achieve your goals too.
